The vision of the Electrification Undersecretaryship is to define policies that allow the promotion of an efficient electricity sector, that can offer an accesible service, highly competitive and environmentally friendly, looking forward to the development of a regional electricity market based on a private participation and with state defined roles, which may contribute to a sustainable development of the country.

The mission of the Electrification Undersecretaryship is to promote the development of a national electricity sector in order to satisfy the needs of our country, turning electricity into a production an well being supply that improves the ecuadorians life conditions and that can be competitive worldwide.

The Electrification Undersecretaryship works to encourage the participation of the private sector under juridical and financial security conditions, as well as to co-ordinate with all the parts, the development of electricity projects giving priority to renewable energy and energetic efficiency.
