PROJECT OF PROVIDING ELECTRICITY IN GALAPAGOS WITH RENEWABLE ENERGIES (ERGAL)

PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVE

Sustainable development of the Galapagos Islands.

MECHANISM

Decrease the diesel consumption for electric generation and substitution for Renewable energies (eolic, photovoltage).

EFFECTS OF PROJECT ERGAL

  • Reduction of CO2 emissions.
  • Elimination of barriers to the ER
  • Diminish the risks of fuel spills (transport and disorder).
  • Creation of local capacities (for Galapagos and Ecuador).
  • Iinform the community.
  • Education in ER and URE at all level.

  • Policies and strategies proposals.
